Flexible, Affordable, and Effective
Why do therapy over the telephone?
Do you want the support of a licensed professional (this is not just coaching) but find that your life is so busy that appointments are hard to schedule and keep?
Would you like to set the session length to fit your needs, your budget, and your schedule?
Is traveling difficult for you, so that getting to an appointment is a significant barrier to treatment?
Many therapists are now offering their services via telephone, and finding that the results can be just as effective, while saving you stress, time, and money.
How does this work?
We would meet at my office for an initial visit (and that option is always open.) If we decide to work via telephone, we would schedule sessions in 15/30/45 minute increments, depending on what length of time makes the most sense. You would pre-pay for as much time as you want, or mail a check following each session.
What about using my insurance for this?
I do not think that your insurance will pay for telephone psychotherapy, but we can discuss who you would call and how you might ask for coverage.
Can we do this on-line?
Can you teach me how? I'm willing to try this, but you might want to consider the limits of confidentiality. I imagine that we could use Skype and webcams, just like kids these days do homework together on line.
